Arduino is a circuit building and coding program. Arduino boards are able to read inputs such as a light on a sensor or a finger on a button and turn it into an output like activating a motor or turning on an LED. You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of instructions (code) to the microcontroller on the board. It's great for people of all skill levels and ages.
Everyone got a kit that had everything they needed. It had the Arduino, a bread board, wires, a battery, resistors, led's, buttons, and a lot more

This project is using heat transferred from your fingers to light up the led. When you touch the end of the wire the light should light up and when you let go it should turn off.
What I learned
I learned a lot while doing all of these Arduino projects. One thing I learned was that you have to pay very close attention to all the code and circuits. If there is even one letter off in the code or one wire in the wrong spot the whole project will not work. I learned this many times when I thought the project just didn't work, but I really had to look closer and see a very small error I might have made. Another thing I learned was how to time manage. In the beginning of the semester I thought I would have so much time to finish the Arduino so I held off on it for a few weeks. Then towards the end I realized I didn't have as much time as I thought, and I needed to work fast. It made me very stressed and worried that I wouldn't finish, if I knew how to manage my time better I would not have felt stressed and would've been able to finish faster.
